About Me

Hi my name is Mrs. Schroeder and this is my 17th year teaching Kindergarten at San Elijo. I am very proud to say that I have worked at SEES since the day it opened and have enjoyed every part of opening a new school and watching all of the traditions evolve. I started my career as a reading intervention teacher and then was hired on that next year. I love teaching Kindergarten for so many reasons and I cannot wait for you to witness those reasons in your own Kindergarten student. It truly is a magical year of learning and I am very excited for this school year.

I attended Cal State University San Marcos where I obtained a degree in liberal studies, a multiple subject teaching credential and a minor in Arts and Education.

On a personal note, I was born and raised in Encinitas and now live in Carlsbad with my husband DJ and our two kids; Kensley and Krue. Kensley will be attending SEMS (San Elijo Middle School) as a 6th grader and Krue will attend SEES as a third grader. This Summer we spent many days outside at the beach, in the pool, on bike rides, on hikes or working on our home.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having a fun and memorable Kindergarten year!
