About me

Mrs. Miller
I have been the physical education teacher at SEES for 4 years. I started my teaching career at Knob Hill Elementary where I worked for 4 years. I have also taught at Discovery Elementary and Ocean Air in Del Mar.

I have a B.S. in Kinesiology from San Diego State with an emphasis in Physical Education and a teaching credential from Chapman University. I did my student teaching at SMMS and SMHS. I never thought I would end up teaching elementary physical education but am so thrilled that I did. I love my students and the opportunity to foster a love of movement and a healthy, active lifestyle at a young age.

My program features a standards-based learning environment with a focus on skill development and engaging students in the moderate to vigorous physical activity zone. I work hard to create fun and engaging lessons for my students. I am a strong believer in the importance of continuing to grow as a physical educator and have participated in many professional development opportunities in my district and at the San Diego County Office of Education. I became a San Diego County Physical Education leader in 2016. I have presented at a Technology in PE conference and was the San Elijo Teacher of the year in 2018.

I am a mom of two young boys. We live an active lifestyle playing soccer and most recently baseball. My favorite things to do are read and go to Disneyland.

I'm so thrilled to be your child's physical education teacher!
